The new Letzigrund stadium was opened in 2007. It serves as a venue for sporting events such as "Weltklasse Zürich", a venue for national and international football matches and also as a concert stage.
The construction was decided, planned and realizedwithin a very short space of time for participation in EURO 2008 .It was not only the structural adaptation of the project to the special requirements of the European Championships that posed a challenge, but also the smooth cooperation of the many trades involved.
